Ranked '5 Paradiski cristals':
The best in the resort.
One of the three historic 'Chalets d'alpage' existing before the Les Arcs ski resort! A unique place to unwind...
Before the construction of the resort, a place called La Croisette already existed, where three Chalets d'alpage could be found: two adjacent (including ours), and one built a few meters away from there. This privileged location has been preserved and kept for the 'locals' who were looking for a quiet place and the ability to find serenity again after a day of work at the resort.
A handful of other chalets were subsequently built by those permanent inhabitants of the resort, and the La Croisette neighbourhood developped itself around that historical location.
Some of those chalets are mythical, including the one called 'Taillefer' in the shape of a reversed diamond, slightly downhill from ours.
Quietness and a place to unwind after sport...
Our chalet is naturally connected to the Les Arcs resort through the 'Village du Charvet', and you can even access it in a few minutes by foot — or by car if that suits you better! In the evening, you can even leave your ski equipment next to the slopes to go home lightly.
You will then have access to every service of that international location dedicated to mountain sport, as well as the best shops and restaurants.
Once back home, you will be safe in the middle of nature. You will be able to unwind, breathe, and amire peacefully the incredible valley of La Tarentaise. Maybe you will decide to unwind next to the fireplace, or maybe load up your batteries on hiking routes, of which departures are slightly downhill from the Chalet.
80 square meters for a unique moment in Savoy!
Upstairs, you will find the 35 square meters big main living room, with a kitchen bar, a table for 6 to 7 guests, a place to put your feet up, and an amazing chimney made out of stone.
Above, you will find a 10sqm mezzanine from which you will be able to enjoy the view offered by the gable.
On the ground floor are two beautiful and bright 12 sqm big bedrooms — each with two beds --, toilets, and a bathroom (with a shower).
The chalet's ambiance understands itself to be cosy, simple, and authentic. We gathered elements and objects picked with a lot of patience to that end, and which tell a unique and timeless story...
All the equipment that
you need
The chalet is fully equipped: a quality oven, a 4-fires cooking surface, a big fridge, every household appliance that you might need, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. We even offer a raclette or crêpes set!
To have fun, you can use books, board games, and games for children.
Wi-Fi is obviously included!
For babies, a bed, a changing area, as well as equipments to prepare meals are available.
Small dogs up to 15 kilogrammes are accepted; just be careful that they don't damage the interiors. For other animals, please contact us.
A privileged mountain environment
You will be at the heart of nature, surrounded by larch and pine trees.
You have an amazing view of the Tarentaise from each room, with a view of the Mont Blanc from the kitchen or the balcony on top of that.
In front of the southern facade of the chalet, you will have access to a (very rare) flat garden on which you will find a wooden picnic table in summer.
The balcony, oriented towards the South and the West, will allow you to enjoy the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Tarentaise valley.
You will be able to take a breakfast or an apéritif between lovers, for imperishable memories.
Access and local visits
What you should visit
In order to access Bourg Saint Maurice from the chalet, you can take your car (about 20 minutes during summer), or take the shuttle bus to get to Les Arcs 1600, and then the funicular railway.
You will also be able to easily access other valleys and visit Rosuel, Seez, Peisey Vallandry and its nordic ski area, ski resorts of the 'Col du petit Saint Bernard', and so on.
You will be able to enjoy lighs strolls all around the chalet.
In a nutshell, you will be able to build your own à la carte stay between the resort and all the villages and towns around.
How to access the chalet and the resort
You can access the resort by foot from the chalet: to that end, you either need to use the lifts of the buildings just uphill from the chalet, or drive there. If you are an adult going there by foot, that would take you about 8 to 10 minutes to get to the heart of the Village du Charvet, and about 15 minutes to get to the slopes. Obviously, if you have very young children, just plan a bit more time according to their age; because the way is very much flat however, you will be able to use your pushchair easily.
Would you rather drive to the resort, it will be free during summer, and you will need a pass during winter to get access to open or sheltered parking spaces. Plan about 5 minutes then. If you wish to book a sheltered parking place, do it way in advance of your stay.
In order to drive to the chalet, the way to Les Arcs is well indicated coming from Bourg Saint Maurice.
Once in the vicinity of Les Arcs 1800, you need to turn left before entering the station, on a road with a sign reading 'Chalets de la Croisette'. The way is described here.
If you come here by train, taxis are obviously available, but you will also be able to take the funicular railway that will take you to Les Arcs 1600; from there, take a shuttle bus, from which you will have to hop off at the bus station of La Croisette. From there, go through the La Croisette building, and if you want, through Les Chardons and/or Le Prainan. Here is a video to show you the way.
